This work built on the learnings from the FiveAI autonomous vehicle project, except this time I was lead engineer and project manager.
We learnt from FiveAI, that fabricating the roof boxes out of pieces of ABS, which could then be plastic welded together, was a great solution. The design was then built around this manufacturing concept.
One invaluable change that we made was to erect a scaffold around the vehicle to aid in the assembly process.
The end result was a success, and if Arrival had still been around, I'm sure you would have seen this vehicle in and around the Banbury area.
